The Central Virginia Pagan Associaiton (CVPA) is a group founded witht he purpose of offering a network resource for all Pagans, both groups and solitary, in the Central Virginia area. Our purpose is to celebrate not only what we have in common but also our diveristy.

We welcome participation by Pagans of all traditions and locality. We strive to help connect the Pagan community throughout the Central Virginia area.

Building our community by getting together and supporting each other is essential. We need to support local Pagan businesses as well as individuals. By supporting one another, we show those who restrict our paractices that they are as common as theirs.

There is a need to establish a network of Pagans in the local community. If we band together there will be no more need to hide our beliefs and practices. One voice is fine, but a group of voices is a roar.

We feel the Pagan community in this area is under-represented. We need to show the community that we are a growing belief system full of individuals who adhere to a faith, though different, is as valid as there own.

There is a need to educate the public with accurate information about Paganism. We need to have the courage and commitment to act on our convictions and allow the community to start seeing Paganism in a positive manner. This is no longer the dark ages, and it's time that we come out of the "Broom Closet" at last.

We share our gift with others to show we care about our fellow inhabitants of this Earth. We know what we give will be granted in return. We need to demonstrate by offering compassion to our community where it is needed.

This is not o one person endevour. This will require the participation and dedication of every Pagan in the area to succeed. Without you there is no CVPA.
